REMEBERING THE VICTIMS:More than 100 people have died in Kerr County due to the floods that ripped through Texas’ Hill Country.

Last week, staff at @houstonchronicle.com , @expressnews.com & the Austin Statesman started compiling names of those missing & who passed away.

I was driving through Houston’s Historic Heights neighborhood today while I waited for my fur babies to finish getting groomed.

Tonight, I was reminded why I don’t watch boxing. I was anxious all eight rounds & even started feeling sick for Mike Tyson halfway through the fight. I’m glad he didn’t get knocked out.

While I was there, a group of Houston Police officers were enjoying their lunch. By the time, they were done & ready to pay for their checks, the cashier told them another customer had paid for their meals. They were genuinely shocked & happy. It made me smile to see them feel appreciated. #Houston

In other news, I came across an episode of Guy Fieri’s “Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives” on the Food Network. This particular episode featured Houston’s Lankford’s Grocery & Market.

Based on his review & the close proximity of the restaurant to my job, I decided to go check it out. #Houston #Texas (1/2)
