Had a mammogram the other day. Appointment was for 1pm. Was back in my car by 1:06pm. Easy, quick, and thanks to our Canadian healthcare system, I didn’t pay out of pocket.

I watched Apple Cider Vinegar on Netflix. It hit home. Someone I used to be close with has been fooled by these wellness grifters. She now thinks that by “doing her own research” she can cure her cancer herself. I’m heartbroken.
This “wellness” culture is so dangerous.

Today is a good day to lift heavy things. I used to think I was training for a zombie apocalypse but now I guess maybe an invasion from our neighbours? Either way I need to be strong AF for what’s coming.

Before I became all things fitness, I was an English teacher. The recent trade war drama has shown me that many people don’t know how to spell the word border. As in the US Canadian one. A boarder is someone who rents a room and maybe also gets food? Hope this helps.

Just taught an hour long fitness class with amazing women, played a 🇨🇦 themed playlist and we all sang along to Jann Arden’s Good Mother =

I need some people to follow on this app. My feed is filled with photos and videos of eagles. I have never expressed any interest in eagles. Please fill my feed with strong women, evidence-based science and hope for the future. Worried though now that I’ve mentioned eagles here this will backfire.

For the first time in my life, I’m now interested in getting bigger rather than shrinking myself. I’m proud when I see bigger muscles. It means I’ve gotten stronger in body and mind.

Things that will make you stronger in body & mind:
- strength training
- reducing or cutting out alcohol
- saying NO to things that don’t align with your values.

You can’t fight the patriarchy if you’re hungry. Eat breakfast, don’t be afraid of carbs and eat lots of protein and veggies to fuel your body & brain.

Things you can do for your health today:
- eat a high protein breakfast (you can’t empower yourself if you have brain fog)
- strength train
- get outside even if it is cold AF like it is where I live.
- read a book and turn off your phone
