4. I want to have fun! Life bums me out. I don’t want to then also surround myself with in places where I feel like I have to fight. I don’t really see the point of an advanced degree if I don’t have the space to choose what I work on. I want to study things that excite me.

3. I want to travel. I’ve always done my best learning by seeing new things in new places. I want to see different ways of living. I want to study the phenomenon that is the human experience.

2. I want to do work that is accessible outside of the ivory tower. Most of my friends, family, and communities I really care about aren’t in academia. I want people I love to regularly interact with my work.

1. I want to embrace my hobbies in my scholarship. Cooking/baking, tea, singing, social media, visual arts, roller skating, acting, dance, makeup, crafting and yoga are ALL a part of my work.
