Paka is a small town in the state of Terengganu, Malaysia. It’s a calm and relaxing town located next to the South China Sea. Prior to Covid-19 and the national lockdown, we frequent this small town a lot. Coming back after 6 years, I noticed that not so much has changed. #Malaysia

Good day all! I’m currently in Seri Iskandar visiting my son at his school. He’s in his final year and currently in his current semester exam week. We think it’ll be good idea to drive over from KL for a short visit and bring him some goodies from home. I miss him. #Malaysia

I can understand how he feels but it’s not an excuse to act like an idiot and not use logical reasoning to summarize what’s actually going on. After all, would a scammer go through all this trouble? #Malaysia

Either way, I’d already reported the spoofing incident to my telco carrier and was advised to also make a police report. The thing is, I need more details on what the scammer told him but how can I get it when he’s being an ass about this? #Malaysia

I guess he was so angry that he didn’t even read and digest my explanation clearly. When you’re angry, reason and logical thinking takes a back seat and emotion becomes the designated drive. I guess when he’s calm later, he’ll realize it and regret upon his behavior. #Malaysia

I then proceed to explain to him that if I was a scammer, it’ll be foolish of me to use a post-paid number registered under my name to scam people. Also told him that scammers can now spoof other people’s number. #Malaysia

I told him politely that this must be a scam because I didn’t make the call and proceeded to show him my phone’s call history. No such calls were. Apparently he was unconvinced and continued to call me names and wanted to “step on my face” for using his dead mother’s name. #Malaysia

So apparently, my 2nd phone number was spoofed by a scammer yesterday. I received a very “delightful” message from the person who the scammer was scamming. I was harshly berated for supposedly using his dead mother’s name in a scam involving undelivered postage. #Malaysia

I have nothing against vegan. You do you but when you start to interfere with my choices is where I draw the line. I’m happy with my lifestyle. Be happy with yours but stop shoving your beliefs and morality onto me.

Currently reading Yuval Harari’s “Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind”. What’s a vegan take on how if it wasn’t for our ancestors consuming meat, we wouldn’t be what we are now? Adding meat to their diet plays a significant in human evolution. Larger brains are a direct effect from this diet.

It’s a sign of failure when you have people judging and even persecuting others on how they think and dress up - things that don’t really have to do anything with them. It’s none of their concern and yet they still need to have opinions about it. #Malaysia

Dear #Malaysia, if you’re not careful, you’ll turn into the next Afghanistan. Look at how progressive and free the country was in the late 60’s and 70’ as opposed to what it is now. This is what will happen if you give voice, power, and influence to the wrong people.
