CDC orders mass retraction and revision of submitted research across all science and medicine journals. Banned terms must be scrubbed.

Fascist censorship going in total overdrive.

Journals better not comply with this. Resist from the bottom up.

I'm building a dataset of about 3K far right extremist (adjacent) Telegram channels with about 30 mil posts I can't wait ohboyohboyohboyohboy

Is there any research on how the far-right recruits individuals through gaming communities?

Besides olschool image boards like 4chan, there are subreddits like www.reddit.com/r/gamingmeme... and Telegram channels like in the image where the entire community also has ties to white supremacists

Then, of course, there’s the more overt partnership between Big Tech and authoritarianism. It's no surprise that those mingling with vile regimes have learned a trick or two bring their tactics home.

So here's some heartwarming camaraderie between Sergey, Sundar, and Jamal Khashoggi's murderer

I have a lot of constructive criticism for my employer, but the university is on its way to doing some things well, like a (small) paid leave of absence for those who transition.

I raise thee the "new peat" iceberg posted by a popular fascist bodybuilding/vegetarianism influencer.

But of course "womb memories" belong in the same tier as "all my homies hate plato" and "schizophrenic mothers abort male fetuses at higher rates"

Beware of brainrot while monitoring the right

That’s why it is easy for a lot of far-right groups to recruit members via gyms or martial arts clubs, or via common interests in general.

To a certain degree, these spaces are fascist coded.

Without explicitly calling themselves "Übermenschen" or condemning modern lifestyles as "degenerate," their rhetoric is filled with imagery suggesting that the nation is soft or lacking strength.

They promote toughness and masculinity as the solution to reclaiming "lost greatness."

Why are self-help grifters, bodybuilding culture, and wellness people so prone to fascist tendencies?

They share the language of decadence around "purging" and "purity"

Phrases like "detox," "clean eating," and "natural physique" reflect this overlap.

As per one fascist health channel:

We often overlook the role of white women in white supremacist movements

I monitor several 'fem-nazi' groups that paradoxically seek to 'liberate' women by embracing traditional values, reducing them to mere reproductive vessels

They lament that men have robbed them of their rightful status.

I came across this documentary while monitoring far right extremist channels on Telegram.

He's actively and openly collaborating with violent white supremacists behind the antisemitic Europe: The Last Battle "documentary". Link: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Europa:...

Stew Peters promotes his new film with familiar concepts like "parasitic invasion" and "degenerate" to dehumanize people as biological threats, calling for the total eradication of “transgenderism, pedophilia, communism."
Aka: anyone who does not belong to our culturally homogenous fantasy land

Musk orbiting accounts across social media are now calling themselves MAPs (Minor Attracted Persons) and claiming that intercourse with children is normal, all while proudly flautning their "leftism" and alleged ties to LGBTQ+ comms.

FYI: These accounts aren't real, and...

Especially in these dismaying times, scientists should engage with their fields holistically; examine the histories of oppression and racial logics that underpin many of their techniques, terminology, and assumptions.

Otherwise, big brained fascists will read between the racial lines like:

Today's fascists wield epigenetics as their sword and "facts" as a shield.

Rather than believing that biological differences make up racial groupings, it's behaviors and environments that divide us in neat lil' categories.

Eugenics never went away, it just moved on with the times.

One way some far-right groups recruit young men is by speaking in a style that disguises overt white-supremacy with the language of self-help and fitness. These posts are designed to turn to not alienate potential members by finding common ground and leaving the politics for later. (1/3)

The world of the Active Club network is one in which the male body is the medium through which a "white society" is maintained and protected. Through training, dieting, and self-discipline they constantly strive to maintain a satisfying and pleasing appearance to other men.

Nostalgia is central to far-right discontent.

For nostalgia to be truthful, it needs to embrace complexity and discomfort - not settle into cozy, self-righteous glee.

Otherwise, expect this kind of far-right chatter over Trump’s win:

(There’s plenty more where this came from)
