We seem to be doing something consistently right in creating supportive environments amongst GP trainers. I'm sure there's learning to be shared...

Similarly are we past the peak amongst trainers? Interesting differences between GP trainers and Secondary Care trainers...

Are we past the worst of burnout amongst trainees? But not yet returned to pre-pandemic levels...

At medical schools, we need to think how we can improve preparedness for FY1. But why is there a disparity in preparedness amongst UK graduates from a ethnic minority backgrounds?

There has been a fall in the proportion of female UK graduates in GP ST1: the last five years have seen their numbers reduce by a fifth (21%), while male UK graduates also fell by 7%. At the same time, the number of non-UK male graduates increased by 53% and non-UK female graduates by 50%

The number of non-UK graduate doctors in training increased in most training programmes, especially in general practice (+18%). The future GP workforce will have a higher proportion of non-UK graduates

A growing proportion of doctors take an increasing amount of time outside formal training after F2

The postgraduate GP specialty training programme is the largest post-Foundation training programme

The demographic profile of the workforce is changing

The headcount of doctors is growing - but the fasting growing group are doctors who are on neither the GP or specialist register and not in training

There are now more 'ethnic minority' doctors than 'white' doctors
