The medium looks way too dry, try having it sit in about an inch of distilled/rain/RO water. Also, try repotting it in a plastic or glazed ceramic container, as terracotta tends to leech minerals into the medium, burning the plant’s roots. :)

This. Like 6 years ago I made my sister get me a Nepenthes pitcher plant from Lowe’s and it’s been thriving ever since <3 thankfully I can keep it indoors all year without needing a dormancy period!!

Fun fact—as basal angiosperms, magnoliids don’t have a set multiple of petals like eudicots (sets of 4-5) or monocots (sets of 3) have. Instead, they form their petals in a spiral without a particular set number of petals!🪷
