There's multiple in my top 10 but one that I don't hear anyone speak of these days is arpeggio of blue steel. No one remembers this damn anime and yet it's the coolest shit ever to me. The soundtrack, the animation, the characters. They're all so memorable to me.

I didn't actually know they had the same author but it makes so much sense now as to why I liked both so much

I can only speak from my experiences and the people I know.

But personally I always try to buy the physical copy WHEN available. Because that's not tied to any platform. Piracy is a nuanced thing. No two people are the same and it's important to realise that and not paint everyone in broad strokes.

Please see attached screenshot for my response, apologies I ran out of space lol

Crazy to me SAO thought we'd have full dive VR and sentient AI.

And instead we have Meta quest and glorified chatbots

Right, but we're comparing individuals to corporations here. For the most part streams are widely available and not region locked. Anime/manga is region locked and therefore isn't available to all even if it is the platforms that host it are subscription based not free to view like streams.

I don't think they are mutually exclusive I just think that the majority of billionaires reach their wealth through nefarious and immoral means. In my view if I was a man that had everything I'd make sure people who don't have anything get to have something.

saw a documentary once where a mother said that she dreaded the summer holidays as she didn't have money to feed her kids and hated to see them go hungry. It's good to see when people have compassion for the most vulnerable in their community

It's tragic, then I guess there's always Blu-ray if you like the show enough, then again for something like Shakugan no Shana, good luck finding them at an decent price

The moment you stop enjoying something is the moment it is no longer worth your time.

I never cared much for Ghibli. It's nice the amount of detail they put into frames, but the stories never really resonated with me much.

I'd say KyoAni deserves all the attention Ghibli gets
