Doing my first real experimenting with OSL and heat effects:
A phykonite vedette smoke-stack, painted in blue and bronze, with some heavy red glow effects in the recesses and black scorch marks around the edges. The same model, but now with extra lighting. Kinda looks a little washed out, unfortunately. A picture of the model from the top. The glowing coils look really good from here, mostly because the coils are really easy to catch with the drybrush.

Made a Guy.
My big lad, who I'm running as a Paragon of Metal Thanatar-Calix, flanked by a Castellax on the left and an archmagos on the right. He's in the orange-and-blue paint of my vehicle's and automata, but I painted his cape in the nice blue to tie him in to the magi as an honoured elder machine. The model is a 3d print, but I kitbashed the gun on the arm from spare parts and a little plasticard to represent the secondary weapon that the Calix has. Very proud of how it came out! The model's by Solwyte Studios if you want one of your own. Love their designs. Very glad that my LGS club is totally down for funky proxies like this!

#hobbystreak day 11: i've been slowly chipping away at things, but today I tried out stippling for the first time. Looks pretty messy, but a couple more coats and putting the brass trim on and I'm hoping it comes out looking like really nice weathered panels!

Trying out some new priming colours, gonna see how they work out for me. Tempted to make the Triaros into a submarine, but I don't have any clue how to make anechoic panels at miniature scale...

A view up under his legs. Still haven't glued the torso to the waist - will proba ly want to make a sprue spine to fit it on so he can be transported in halves. Still not quite sure what colour to paint the armiger. Could go with the orange of the rest of the army, but could also do white, or red? It's meant to be the command throne of the prison warden...

You should be able to make every assassin from No More Heroes with the basic Wych kit imo
Rank 10: Death Metal. The oversized impractical sword and 'this is my relaxing by the pool outfit' would be perfect for a senior wych showing off their power No. 4: Harvey Moisewitz Volodarsky. Just an appropriate level of flamboyance for murdering people on-stage No. 7: Destroyman. GW has tried to stay away from traditional superhero aesthetics, but I feel like a wych on the homunculus-creatine would look good. Very showy! No. 2: Bad Girl. If wyches can't go around in frilly skirts with blood-soaked [sports implement of choice] then what are we doing here???

One very chubby,very painted boy! Very happy with the screen here. Thanks for the tip about sakura micron pens! This model has so many cool details, but the antennae at the back are destined to snap. I just accepted it. Really happy with the water effect on this one too!
