With the affirmative action ruling and this ICE one the conservatives on SCOTUS are sending a very clear message. It's perfectly fine to consider a person's race when keeping a minority group down but definitely not when attempting to lift them up.

I'm convinced Aaron Boone just plans on losing certain games and this is a prime example. There's no way Boone thought this strategy would result in anything but a loss. He looks at the schedule and just plans our certain games to lose and thinks it's genius strategy. #Yankees

Something I can't stop thinking about the big shitty bill. Republicans have been cutting about cutting Medicare for decades but didn't because they knew they'd lose tons of votes once people lost it. What if they are doing it now because they aren't worried about elections anymore?

I think that all the anti science people believe that scientists and doctors only have access to the same information they do; nothing more. So they just see it as a difference of opinion instead of knowledge vs. ignorance.

I know I'm far from the first person to notice this but I was watching Shawshank Redemption again the other day and when Andy is telling Red about his dream of going to Mexico Red calls it a "shitty pipedream." Which is how Andy actually gets here in the end, through a shitty pipe.

There are a lot of amazing achievements in sports. People overcoming injury, incredible comebacks, persevering through hardship.
But to me the most incredible, unbelievable achievement of anyone is Serina Williams winning a tournament THREE months after giving birth. That's superhuman.
