Indeed. This is the time to remember the dreams that matter. It sometimes feels like we are surrounded by Orcs -- some we once called friend. But new friends are peeking their heads up in defiance, those who haven't forgotten the dream. May our story inspire others who follow us.

The fact that this was not a deal breaker for some of my acquaintances became a deal breaker for further acquaintance with them.

I'm not inclined to call it a mistake after 8 years of doubling down on supporting him, ridiculing people who criticized him, and gradually discarding their own professed core values as each new horrible thing unfolded.

It says a lot about those who did this, but they are unlikely to see it.
