Finished South of Midnight last night. Been a long while since I had a game I'd sit and play non-stop for hours at a time, and glad to find it in this one.
Thoroughly enjoyable, although the combat lets it down in places. Bumping the difficulty down saved me so much grief in the long run.

Finished Star Wars: From a Certain Point of View yesterday. You can definitely tell this is the first of what would become a series - the stories here are an incredibly mixed bag. The serious ones really elevate A New Hope, the more silly ones can *really* leave a sour taste in the mouth.

The cards had a perculiar texture I've never felt before. It's plasticy but also not. Very intriguing!

Finished Impossible Creatures by Katherine Rundell last night.
Gorgeous prose, an intriguing and vibrant world, and an author who does not pull her punches. Suffers a bit from a slow start - read to where the POVs merge, and the book takes off from there.
Is YA, but would recommend!

It's been an extremely slow process, but I'm crafting a fantasy conworld out of a love for worldbuilding, with the hope that maybe I can set some stories there, or use it in an TTRPG someday. The latest (heavily WIP) map is below.

Finally finished The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire. Absolutely phenomenal lore book with very clever diagetic explanations for things like film images or media still in production.
Can be quite emotionally draining at times though, as to be expected from the subject matter. Still, amazing!

I have what the kids call a pattern, and it's not grass starters. Struggled a bit with the Alola ones - I chose Litten but my heart is also with Rowlet. It's a pretty even 50/50 split. Also I haven't played the Paldea gen (yet), but the little guy reminds me of Ber. :)
