I wish I could have tattooed this on the foreheads of a bunch of Star Wars fans eight years ago. The meltdowns over The Last Jedi were surreal, and the harassment I received for liking it is why I permanently disengaged from that fandom. I just talk about it with certain friends and that's it.

*engaging Don LaFontaine voice*

Fifteen years ago, Rutger Hauer dispensed justice one shell at a time as a Hobo with a Shotgun! This summer Abel, son of Adam, does the same as...

An Angel with a Shotgun!

This time, justice is divine!

So long as WB films keep getting theatrical and Blu-ray releases, it's fine. Well, not fine, since we shouldn't be having these media mega-mergers in the first place. But still, it would suck if everything WB went streaming-only. I like going to cinemas and owning films on physical.

It's like they're also unaware that pilots are frequently different from the main series. Lots of things can get changed: character designs, tone, plot points, etc. It's normal, and it's unreasonable to expect shows to be identical to their pilots, even if the pilot is adored by fans.

They're like a more extreme version of "OT-only" Star Wars fans or "G1-only" Transformers fans. I mean, how can they be so fixated on the pilots to where they think the shows jumped the shark literally at the start of the first seasons by not being identical to said pilots? It's ridiculous.

Even though it's not true, that news is still so powerful it blew my mind right in front of my face.

Classic film scene. I imagine if Vox was going to sing a Peter Gabriel song to serenade Val, instead of "In Your Eyes" he would would probably sing "Sledgehammer" since it's lyrics are actually really horny and Val might like that.

Why would I run? I mean, look at him. He's cute. And his eyes have little hearts in them. How dangerous could he be?

I still adore S1, but S2 was just so much more focused. It kept things focused on two main things (Vox's attempted ascent to godhood and the fact that the Hotel works) and took place in a short time span, which really works for it. Yet it still left enough stuff for future seasons.

The only problem I had with S1 was that it had to fit six months of plot into eight 25-minute episodes. There was a 5-month time skip between S1E3 & S1E5, then another month between S1E7 & S1E8. The end result was a lot of missing character development that could have been explored in those gaps.

Nice outfits. I love how the layout looks like a period-accurate catalog.

Nah. It's something far more fearsome.

As I like to say, there's a difference between a reason and an excuse. Evil doesn't happen in a vacuum. Something incentivized the bad behavior. That doesn't excuse said behavior, but it does help us understand it, which is necessary to prevent it from happening again. "Know thy enemy," and all.

OMG! I didn't realize that Ozzie's gift was an apple-shaped ball gag. Looking at closeups of the gifts now and I'm like, "Oh yeah." I wonder who the perfume is from, though.
