you can literally say the same about the steam deck bc why would anyone want a handheld when they have a pc with 5090 in it. and yes, people do.

- lots of console gamers may want to join the pc gaming but feel intimidating by building and pc community gate keeping (all the “no don’t buy this lol for this price do that” comments), this might be a cool alternative for them especially if it’s affordable

oh i will sure keep you updating on the process!! 🫶 gotta wait till next year sadly bc desk i want has a delivery date after 13th december and i departure to poland around that time so it’s too risky. aaaand we should have a car by then so ikea trips for other decor will be really easy hehe

so there will be niches for it. depending on the pricing it may also just be a great entry level pc whose price wont increase just because oops nvidia decided entry level gpus are now 400 bucks more and store prebuilds prices are affected

granted i could go with a laptop but having to travel with two (i usually have to take my work laptop with me) is bothersome and heavy 😭 and steam deck doesn’t fullfill my needs bc i also need a desktop for online language classes and other stuff so the cube should be perfect for it

i have a much much more powerful pc than this cube and i still consider getting it. small form factor pc i can pop in my luggage for long trips when visiting my family in a different country feels like a godsend. it will find its niche like steam deck and its windows clones did.
