This is why the “peaceful protest” distinction does not matter - the pigs will fire at you & beat you either way. All you’re doing is playing into the state’s narrative of “good” vs “bad” protesters.

Force must be met with force. Restraint is not the solution.

This person has been disappeared—kidnapped from his family and wife who is 8 months pregnant—and detained in secret with no legal process. The government does not claim he committed a crime, just that he held views that the government doesn’t like about Israel. Bone chilling.

In my years as a civil rights lawyer, I’ve never seen a more clear cut First Amendment violation, or a more flagrant government declaration of intent to violate blackletter law. Part of the point here is to dare the courts to uphold longstanding precedent.
