That's such a hard question for me. I played like over hundreds of games and I developed such a big love for a bunch of them in their own right. If I really had to choose one, I think Alan Wake 2 currently is my favourite game still. I planned to play the Lakehouse DLC but man that game is so great!

It's changed to "oh it's telling a realistic emotional torrent that we could connect to in our lives". It's so simple just by explaining it that it can change everything you knew or thought. Bioshock series is a great example, especially the first game.

I saw a different video retrospective of Silent Hill which really piqued my interest. It was after today that I saw another video retrospective of Silent Hill which included the recent remake of Silent Hill 2 that I really truly saw a different perspective of the game that isn't "oh it's a scary".

Even games you probably haven't played. I haven't played any of the Silent Hill games. I didn't know anything about Silent Hill until early in the year. I saw images about the game to see what it looked like and didn't look back. After playing Resident Evil 2 remake and Alan Wake 2, I got curious.

It really sparks that "oh wow, I didn't think of it like that" moment and can make you really appreciate what the game stands for. It's amazing and I highly recommend finding a retrospective of your favourite game you love. I guarantee you, you'll end up loving the game even more.
