finished work after 2nd color stain coating.

Wood used in this project : pinus planks recovered from construction work ( moulds for concrete columns), cleaned with wire wheel brush, then cut to re-useable pieces, thicknessed and cut to measurements.
(this wood is about the same as pallet wood)

last one for tonight..
Found this in the flea market during a car show back in june..thought it'd be another loss of money and one more collection item. got surprised when I tested it and it still works well, I think it's at least 60 years old if not more

Dont look for too long or it'll give you nightmares later.
before I took this picture, last time I wore this head (and the rest of fursuit) was 10 years ago.

No wonder why I had no brakes and couldn't make it work again, when I took out the rear diff several weeks ago.. all the brake system is shot -.-
August 10, 2025 at 2:20 AM
Finally had some time to sit and transfer pictures to pc..
Room renovation ( before and after)

The big part of car work I'm doing in the past weeks. Rear diff. had to be replaced because it's the wrong ratio for the model I have. took a few years to find the right one, and a year since I bought it.
Now to re-do the rear brakes..it'll get messy draining the lines :p

this is an idea I had 5 years ago, days before the pandemic lockdown. only now I made it. a bit different from the original idea . I have no idea if this will work or was another waste of time and materials.
2hvt400b antennas and the ugly choke/balun.

There is a negative supply in this tester and if it fails or goes out of spec, it'll harm the tubes.
For now, the parts I'd test are marked in yellow.
There are a few adj. pots that must be inspected, specially if they're carbon ( if the cursor arcs on the track, it's done)

looks better..
January 11, 2025 at 3:26 PM
baked and crispy :p
This is what I got a few months ago to keep my brain busy, but it turned into another unnecessary money spending fest , heh
yep.. it had a fire, paid $500 for the whole car.
It still has issues but it's working again

color stain coating compared to natural wood color, first coat, then second coat. finished speakers, without front cloth

From dirty scrap wood, to a pair of kinda decent speaker boxes.
January 3, 2025 at 4:28 AM
Picture from 2022 , amplifier made sometime between 2018-2020 ( can't remember now -.-) .
This one I left at my mother's house. Doesn't matter if I'm at home or elsewhere.. my music goes tru a home-built tube amp.
Speaker cubes are also home-built using a pair of jbl car speakers from the 90's

Bluesky now has over 10 million users, and I was #965,226!

(and one year since I started posting here, hehe)

a few more pictures showing the speakers. the one at right was waxed and buffed, later the same finish was done to the other.
This was more a learning process in wood-work than anything else. The drivers I used have no parameters available to calculate a speaker box for them.

a pair of speakers I made a month ago using scrap wood from house construction. That's why the wood is full of dark spots on several places.
Unfortunately they didn't perform well; sounded like those computer speakers from the 90's

checking one of the many radios I bought at the car show's flea market last month to see if it's good to work on or just for parts.
Found this after taking apart the side of one radio. -.-
" oh, this one is working. I tested it"
yeah, right..
