Nintendo is super greedy for sure. And out of touch, they've been like that and getting worse. But the one thing the corporate side does better than anything else is understanding how to cultivate these teams to make extraordinary games. Sony used to be able to do it too, but not as much nowadays.

Well, I spent longer than 2 seconds Googling him, unlike you. Hes said plenty condemning the Holocaust. Who doesn't condemn the Holocaust? Antisemites are usually super right wing and deny the Holocaust, very very few say it was a good thing. Its a bit obvious.

Yes, I know them. I don't have a subscription but Ive seen the quote in this. The inspiration as he put it is from a memory where he was reflecting on the vengeful gut reaction he had against something that happened. I wish he was more reflective on how that is exactly what the Israel gov. Is doing.

Its not zionist, just a bad direct parallel to Israel-Palestine if you wish to take it that way. Mostly because the groups in the game are in a mutual terf war, not an apartheid state.

Agreed. I liked the new scenes with Isaac in the last episode. But then the museum scene was... very odd.

Who are simply never going to fuck with what the story is going for. Never have I ever seen people so angry over a characters death, its beyond me. But I think the game did a better job pushing that gut punch to the max. Show was still incredibly done, but lost some of the confidence.

Keeping the mystery. Right now, Abby feels one note. Now, what we lose is the mystery. Why did these people do it? In the show, as it is now, theres pretty much no narrative hook except wanting Ellie to get her revenge.

What it wants to achieve. People are still furious they killed Joel, so it didn't soften the blow at all. Even if you know why shes doing it, shes still an unknown. The game actually does a better job of connecting you to Abby by focusing all the time it has on her relationships and (3/?)

Like the way Joel's name is revealed in the game still makes sense. What are the chances some girl you save the life of happens to be on a cross country revenge plot to take you out? As well, revealing Abbys intentions early and having her monologue for so long... I don't think it achieves (2/?)

Understandable. Those are all writing related though, not really directing. I think the directing of the scene in the game was better - had a better sense of perspective and was paced better.
I also personally didn't care for the narrative changes. Some of them felt a bit pointless (1/?)
