Although they since established that cats who die a second time are "a part of nature" and they're not really gone. So I like to think that he's still there, but he's free of the Dark Forest now, running free and being one with the world and all that.

The fact that they killed his spirit was not only unnecessary, but they way they did it looked to me like Firestar had a grudge against Darkstripe since the beginning and took the opportunity to make that one final attack because of that grudge.

I've been saying the same thing. The Broken Code arc presented them with the perfect opportunity to have him start off by helping Bramblestar, the son of Tigerstar, and then pivot that into a complete redemption arc where he finally realizes and accepts that Tigerstar was really a villain. But no. 😞

This is also assuming current Warriors arc timeline. Since Ruby & Socks are around the same age as Mistystar (maybe a little older?), they're more than likely no longer alive. So I wanted to explore the idea of their theoretical grandkits & how they might interact with the clans.

I wanted to design them as looking somewhat similar to Ruby and Socks, but I don't want them to look EXACTLY like them. So I changed things like the eye colors and fur markings to give them their own unique look.

I'm just figuring some designs for them right now, the only theory I have about them is that they stay close to each other after learning about how their grandparents rejected Tiny/Scourge and were later rejected by their twolegs. So they have a moral code about helping others.

Thoughts about the new version:

- I think I improved making Pineconeshimmer and Potatoroll fit the image I have in my mind

- Darkfur's coloring/markings fit how I thought of him better, though I imagine him darker

-I still have to work on making Petalcloud look intimidating
