Jurassic Park 3 is trash and it belongs in the trash. 2/10

The Lost World Jurassic Park II is not that bad, but not as good as 1, and needed to end 20 minutes early. 6/10

I know this is coming off as "SJW cries over whatever," but I'm not crying. I understand the writing of why it happened. It's just disappointing that it had to happen this way.

I guess there's Lando, but on screen, we've only ever seen him be flirty towards women, and the female droid L3. So what kind of message is it sending when you kill off the first, and so far, only real live action representation in such a throwaway way?

Jeckie and Osha don't count since they were the actor's headcanons at best. Osha and Mae's mothers don't count in my eyes since they pussyfooted around what their actual relationship was, and even if they did, that was BYG too. And the less said about that "scene" in Rise of Skywalker, the better.

To clarify, because I was too tired to expound last night, yes, it's war. People die, and unfairly, too. And making the sapphic couple invincible is problematic as well. The problem is, this is the first real on-screen LGBTQ+ representation in a live action Star Wars project.

I think that's why I liked the Ahsoka show as much as I did. Baylan is a complex character, but the plot is simple. Get to Thrawn and Ezra. Anyway, I'm done rambling. Just wanted to clarify my stance.

And nothing will be wrong with it potentially being simple, either. If anything, I think Skeleton Crew showed that being simple is something the franchise needs again. Mando S1 was good because it was simple. S2-3, not awful but got more intricate, and the writing dropped in quality with it imo.

For future reference, I am not saying movies or shows need those elements to be good, despite my current pfp. Good things can and will be made without ever acknowledging them. I'm just betting LF will play it as safe as possible to be as generally crowd pleasing as possible.
