I read it when it first came out and loved it. I reread it last month and looked back at younger me with “wtf was wrong with you?!” levels of shock. Awful awful book.

My favorite mystery thriller The Devotion of Suspect X by Keigo Higashino. Everything seems clear and straightforward until you learn that it never was.

💙💙💙!!! I’ll add The Millhouse Murders by Yukito Ayatsuji. Like Agatha Christie but more fleshed out. He also wrote The Decagon House Murders (very And Then There Were None) but I liked Millhouse better for its vibe.

I’m really getting into Japanese mysteries. Have you ever read Keigo Higashino? His books are mind blowing! I’d recommend The Devotion of Suspect X.
