My patchouli is looking pretty happy today. I started her from a seed about 4 years ago, and we had a bit of a struggle along the way, but she loves her new pot (with proper drainage). I know she's not everyone's cuppa but I love her.

It's hot and muggy at the market on doing today but I got to deliver the special order wreath I did so I'm happy. I don't get to make them often as they are miserable to ship.

I had such a strange color journey with my last soap. The oils started a beautiful deep red color due to the use of St. Johns Wort infused olive oil. As soon as I added my lye water, it turned this tmnt ooze neon green. On cut, it's now vaguely greenish. I have no idea how the color will cure.

I'm all set up at a small market. Not expecting much today even if my cards were really positive. I am using it as a chance to test out the new over the table bar.

Waiting on round one of my mess to dry so I'm futzing around with my proper camera. I hate my phone camera - give me my #pentax every day. Much nicer pics of my #mushroom lights without any glare! And my little red salamander (who's not so bad for someone who with no real ability to sculpt!).

My weekend went sideways with various emergencies, but I did manage a new soap. I was hoping for a more orange than yellow color, but there's a chance it'll cure up darker. Marmalade soap. Scented with lemon, grapefruit, and sweet orange. #soap

I don't know what these tiny ones are for yet, but I'm futzing around with the bigger lights and a moss ball. It's a fairy ring in dire need of something ... more. I'll figure it out eventually. #makingthings

Is such a lovely night for black candles. I do dislike how my phone camera does candles. I'm sure it's me but also, completely why i prefer my Pentax for everything.

Hot chocolate soap is cut and curing. It'll be available early April. I've got room on my tracks for probably 6 more bricks. Just have to figure out what I'm making. #soapmaking #smallbusiness

This past holiday, my brother, who is amazing, found me a zip drive that might work with a modern machine. This means I will finally be able to access the novels I wrote prior to 2004. And probably a ton of bad poetry. Pic shows about half the discs. That's my reward for cleaning today.

Yesterday's soap is still a bit soft but turned out lovely. The yellow is the shea butter, no additional colorant. This is tea tree and bergamot with activated charcoal, bentonite clay, Shea, tallow, coconut, and castor oil.
