a lot of politicians, NASA execs are just Boeing shills. like the corrupt guy you mentioned 7 times.
September 21, 2025 at 5:41 PM
which NASA's reputation is still held.

please check how much they + boeing etc have spent over past 20 yrs on shitty programs, cost plus contracts and compare that to SpaceX who've saved so much taxpayer money.
September 21, 2025 at 5:41 PM
SpaceX HLS plan wasn't even finalised till 2022 coz Blue Origin sued NASA since SpaceX won a contract. 4 yrs is a stupid timeline. NASA is the one at fault here, always has been.

like FFS go do more research before writing an article making SpaceX the scapegoat - the company through

this is an extremely bad and biased article citing shitty ex-NASA execs.

bsky.app/profile/shac...
look you can hate musk for other reasons but this whole article is riddled with biased language, bad sources. incredibly bad hit piece right from the get go.

that dude Loverro mentioned 7 times in this piece is corrupt.

here's a point by point rebuttal by a former NASA guy.

,dysfunction and billions wasted over the past 20 years.

it's irritating to divide my rebuttal into several replies otherwise i'd have pointed out the dozens of other red flags in this piece which are just trying to sow doubt.

read up.

does Musk overpromise? sure. "Elon time" as many call it. but when it comes to SpaceX even his "late" actual deadlines are far ahead of anyone.

crazy that they're trying to make SpaceX the scapegoat in the public's eyes without going into the details about NASA, Boeing, ULA bureaucracy...
September 21, 2025 at 2:00 PM
only they have the guts to take risks, spend money (no they don't just rely on cOnTraCts) on unproven tech. others like ULA, NASA are just job programs to milk money via cost-plus contracts.
Falcon 9 literally completed it's 500th launch-landing of a booster recently. no issues in their competency.
September 21, 2025 at 2:00 PM
...spacex engineers do a shit ton of tests. nasa finally relents. spacex wins.

SpaceX is also right to focus on Mars, orbital refueling. looking to make a future-proof vehicle and not just satisfy a contract requirement to milk money.
September 21, 2025 at 2:00 PM
here's just one hilarious sample of that: archive.ph/depE1
tldr: bloated nasa working with bloated boeing for a decade on a docking. SpaceX decides to make their own less complex version. NASA thinks SpaceX is stupid. spacex builds the prototype with off-the-shelf parts. nasa still not convinced.
September 21, 2025 at 2:00 PM
the article is literally quoting Boeing shills and incompetent NASA execs who have wasted billions of $ and aren't "experts" in any sense.

a lot of these former(or current) NASA engineers or executives are not some final authoritative figures. SpaceX engineers, execs are way ahead of them.
