Working with React feels like working with Angular in the 2010s. It's the most popular choice. The ecosystem is vibrant. But you start seeing other promising tech stacks that will likely replace it. You just can't move because the ecosystem isn't ready to shift somewhere else yet. So you are stuck.

The truth is that we are. Until the ecosystem finds a better stack to unify under or we find the courage to break ranks.

Not disagreeing with the overall point but AI has some use cases and it is useful. Dismissing them with "AI can't do much of anything" makes you look like an extremist which hurts your point.

My therapist told me something similar wrt to people. She asked me to be aware of which people took energy away from me and which ones boosted it. I started avoiding energy sucking people and spending more time with boosters. It completely changed my life. Hope it will do the same for you.

You can downgrade by backup-ing everything and doing a clean install of the OS (you'll need a USB). There are guides online, it's relatively easy.

It's also something worth doing periodically (i.e. every 2 years or so); so once you learn how you are set for life.

This 100x. Who are these people that make changes without reviewing and QAing their own work?

I would die of shame and embarrassment if I opened a PR and it contained some dumb mistake that doesn't make the code run.

Ah I see. Makes sense.

Do you mean accepting () => (T | Promise<T>) as a prop?
November 3, 2025 at 4:20 PM
Whoever claimed that has never worked with customers and/or a sales team before.
