#53 Search Party

Another short and sweet single dev horror game I got as part of the Torture Star Video bundle along with some of the others I've played recently.

This one was bogged down by a stalker monster that was more annoying than scary but otherwise I enjoyed it.

The slow project of making sure I can play all my favorite games if the internet were to vanish continues. #hades

I wouldn't mind snow if it was always like this.

I can't tell if it's recency bias but this year I've played for the first time like 15 of some of the best games I've ever played. It's fucking crazy.

#52 Look Outside

Difficult and doesn't hold your hand but really glad I stuck it out on this one because it was an incredible experience. Grotesquely beautiful and incredibly memorable. Somehow managed to pull everything together on the final day and get a great ending.

Not the easiest game to get started but have really been enjoying Look Outside.

#51 Murder House

Enjoyed my time spent in this survival horror game with great ps1-era graphics. Loved that it took place inside a regular, normal-sized house. The exploration was really enjoyable, even if I got stuck at one point because a couple doors just looked like walls.

Playing my first @puppetcombo.bsky.social game, Murder House, and I don't know what I expected but I didn't expect a classic tank controls survival horror game. It's fire so far.

#50 Vampire Survivors: Ante Chamber & all other 1.14 update content

Yes I count DLC as games because it was an undertaking and also why not pad the list?

The Balatro DLC was rather small compared to the expanded content for the Castlevania DLC that also dropped, all fire tho.

After years of playing @vampire.poncle.games I think my favorite way to play is to use the card that makes it so that the fewer weapons you have the stronger each one is and just go to town with that character's single base weapon. #vampiresurvivors

#49 The Horror of Salazar House

A fun little single-dev retro horror that visually and tonally reminded me a bit of something like Faith: The Holy Trinity because of just HOW retro it felt. Turned out to be one of those games with like 8 endings but getting them all was a joy.

I also really liked the furnace room. On my new oled monitor with the HDR mod was legitimately blinding.

#48 Silent HIll 2 (2001)

Spent a long time actively avoiding this game because I wasn't sure how I'd enjoy the heavy story elements.

Turns out this game is amazing. It is scary in a creepy and sad but not terrifying way, and it makes sense that it's considered such a classic.
