I actually prefer moss. I wish I could blanket my place with it. So much softer than grass. I'm really into grounding. Plus you never have to cut it.

You have to cut back some tree branches and let more sun hit the moss. Then turn the moss over after it browns, then spread grass seed over the dead moss and voila, a beautiful new lawn. And the dead moss will feed the new seeds.
And yes I do landscaping too.
