Today's star find on the wild rose bush in my garden, a Tussock Moth larvae. Only ever found 1 of these in previous years but today, I found 2. Well chuffed 😁 #Moths #Caterpillar #Insects

Melolontha (cockchafer, small), is my guess. It landed upside down with wings still partially unfurled. So, I turned it over and left it to recover. After a few seconds it took off. 😁

This aphid is not for turning! Been watching this interaction for a while. The ant is desperate to get the aphid back to the safety of it's aphid farm on the nearby dog rose bush, but that darned aphid ain't going anywhere. Fascinating #Mindful moment in the late afternoon sun 😁

Invited to by bfs house for Easter weekend. He cooked a roast meal last night, I asked for some mint sauce. He dutifully provided this specimen. Interestingly, this pre-dates when we first met by 2 years. I need to go through his cupboards! 🤦 #SeriouslyOutOfDateFoodstuffs

Email Scam Alert: I rec'd this this morning. It's a clear scam apart from the spelling errors, z in authorised and er in center, there is a national lottery link 🤔 However, the most most obvious warning bell was the 'best regards' closure at the end. Never have DVLC or HMRC been so sweet 🤣

Help! Send seed. I am being terrorised by raptors rapping on my office window 😁. Yeah, I know they're not raptors but they're my fave long tailed tits. Breeding season, so they're prob seeing their reflections & think they're being challenged. They can challenge my window anytime 🥰 totally cute.

Very sad to hear that the amazing artist, Jack Vettriano has died. Famous for his painting entitled 'The Singing Butler', his work was beautifully erotic, with bold colours and strong characters. My favourite was 'Bluebird at Bonneville'. RIP 3.3.25

@booksky-1.bsky.social. So, listening to audio books is, in my opinion, still counted as 'reading'. As I proofread educational materials for my job, I like to give my eyes a rest and switch my ears on to listen ☺️.
