Went to a small local gay rodeo put on by KSGRA today. First rodeo I've gotten to attend and it was pretty fun.

I think it's kinda cool that one of our city's biggest festivals is "these bushes are cool, go look at flowers and eat fried food" #LilacFestival #bloomscrolling
Some lilac bushes in bloom at Highland Park in Rochester NY. The bush is between 7 and 8 feet tall with bright green leaves. The bushes are heavy with light purple flowers that give off a delightful fragrance People enjoying various lilac bushes. Light purple and light blue lilac flowers are represented here. The light pink flower petals cover the tree's extensions and give off a very mild, pleasantly sweet scent.

Andy Warhol's painting of The Birth of Venus Selections from Andy Warhol's paintings from a body of work known as Ladies and Gentlemen. See next photo for description. LADIES AND GENTLEMEN Warhol's Ladies and Gentlemen series, created in 1974-75, is one of his largest and most lucrative commissions. Luciano Anselmino, an Italian gallerist and art collector, asked Warhol to create a series of over 100 paintings and prints of anonymous "transvestites"-a now outdated term to describe trans women or drag queens. Bob Colacello and Ronnie Cutrone, both of whom worked with Warhol at the Factory, recruited fourteen models from a bar called The Gilded Grape, which Drag Magazine described as "New York's sole... drag hangout," popular with Black and Latina clientele. Warhol more than doubled the commission by making 268 paintings, approximately 65 drawings, and a portfolio of 10 prints. He also took more than 500 Polaroids of the models, an inordinate number relative to his typical portraiture process. In these artworks, Warhol obscured missing teeth, synthetic wigs, and strong jawlines, instead highlighting the models' dramatic poses, joyful expressions, and glamorous appearances. The resulting artworks use lavish color and kinetic brushwork, creating an exuberance that is generally absent from his portraits of socialites and Hollywood stars. In the five decades since Colacello and Cutrone ventured into the Midtown Manhattan bar to find these models, drag has moved into the mainstream, and debates about gender identity have garnered national attention. These paintings simultaneously represent their historical context and are in dialogue with current ideas about representation, visibility, and self-determination for the trans community. The AC/DC concert last night was fun
An explosion of confetti lazily drifting away from the stage while a 70-ish year old guy plays guitar. The details of his playing are projected on large screens at either side of the stage on the left side of the shot. Various lights glow and beam into the night. The packed crowd is partially illuminated. A guitarist lifted about 10 feet up from the stage extension on a scissor lift. I'm visiting Pittsburgh for a few days. Tonight we're seeing AC/DC. Right now the opening act "The Pretty Reckless" is on stage.
The confluence of three rivers. Point Park looks green from this angle on the 22nd floor of our hotel. A bronze sculpture at the tribute to Mr. Rogers The bright yellow seats at Acrisure Stadium starting to fill up with people. The floor seats and pit area are about half full.
