I haven't tried it since I quit trying to learn Spanish before our trip to Mexico years ago. "un tomate no es un fruta" Bitch please. It is a fruit, and you aren't going to teach me.

Hope you're feeling better now.

Oh...nitrogen. Of course it has great thermal properties.

Oh I have questions. Off to the oracle.

bsky.app/profile/bsky...

I haven't dug into these feeds a ton, but considering the categories, I would expect AI to get shit on hard enough to discourage it.

I'm still sorting out how the feeds function, and how people build them for sharing.

This one is user initiated and I think tag driven to contribute. It forbids ai and nft. I expect there are more like it, but haven't dug in much yet. The search may need some more improvement to make that easier.

We narrowed our scope. We found a few things we like and make time for, and we let Facebook displace a lot of the web by offering the same service in a central location. It was always a bad idea to use their replacements.

Events, Photobucket, vine/tiktok, Craigslist, bbs forums, clubs (groups)
Etc

The surface web is full of that, yes.

I think we've really narrowed our "browsing" we rarely actually browse anymore. When the Web was new, and mostly dark, browsing was how we got around, literally. I had to write my own spiders and index the web for my own use.

I'm so glad bsky has an art feed that forbids ai.

Hola
January 28, 2025 at 6:08 PM
Hah! Ironic, yet, not as impossible as it may sound to some.
January 27, 2025 at 7:26 AM
True. And I don't really want a platform to have a political alliance. I'm just pointing out part of what just went down with TT.

We should know by now facebook is an evil company and caters to propagandists, hate groups, and liars.
January 23, 2025 at 7:27 PM
Not just, how to divine it, but how to make them actually follow that mandate. They only give a fuck when they are up for reelection. That's the only thing we hold over their heads.

so I realized I hadn't finished that season... in my mind I thought Jay had won, but that was a total surprise.

Agreed, he needed it more, but I don't think I agree with the decision.
January 23, 2025 at 4:30 AM
Me too. I haven't sorted it out. It currently seems like the only way to do it is have categories for everything, sort everything, and not look at the main feed.

Remove citizens united.

Re-install and implement new very strict anti-bribery measures.

They can't own stocks.

Insider trading charges are 10x harsher for them than anyone else. Jail time mandatory.
January 23, 2025 at 4:26 AM
Yep, I know it is, and it's increasingly worse.
January 22, 2025 at 6:54 PM
I like it, but it lacks a few filters I would like to implement.

Big likes: different feeds for interests and topics.

Stuff I want: private name notes, (because I sometimes forget (screen names.))

A Less/More filter, or way to cut people out of the "following" cat. without unfollowing.
January 22, 2025 at 4:36 PM
This is true. Especially with the incoming administration. It's not the right approach, but it's the approach that is winning right now.
January 19, 2025 at 8:35 PM
The reason red voters win while blue voters lose out, is a lack of unity.

There's too much focus lately on picking nits and calling out every nuanced misbehavior of your peers, or near peers, to focus on a big picture.
January 19, 2025 at 7:44 PM
It's much easier to blame the issues on the Bernie voters who wouldn't switch to a Hillary vote, not look at the DNC's own projections that showed clearly he was the only one who could win against Trump in 2016.

Or you know, rage against the "bernie bros" who were assholes, but lacked red hats.
