At a time of generationally high threats to our country, we need the CBC to be a strong voice for Canada and Canadians. Apparently someone who habitually thinks in slogans, as Pierre Polievre does, can't think flexibly enough to change course on Canada's primary engine of national unity. Vote CBC!

With Prairie Harm Reduction shut down for 11 days and two public libraries closed for a month because of the overdose crisis burning out workers, will the SK Party finally see that it needs to change course on the addictions issue, or will it continue to pursue policies that brought us to this pass?

During the gathering after Saskatoon's Smudge Walk, one young man who'd been sleeping outside came over to the fire, shaking so badly, one organizer called paramedics. I walked back to my car afterwards with a woman whose son was found dead behind a church on 20th St. 2 years ago--
such suffering!

About 30 people showed up today for the Smudge Walk in Saskatoon. Among them was NDP MLA Betty Nippi-Albright. She set about organizing folks to go and speak in the SK legislature in Regina on Monday when she answers the SK Party claim that the homeless and overdose crises are not a health issue.
