Dr. Robert Boria and his lab study the impacts of anthropogenic factors on the distribution of small mammal diversity. Here, the Boria lab visited the mammal collections at the Museum of Vertebrate Zoology, and learned how to prepare skin specimens.

The Crook Lab studies cephalopods to understand how we can better treat octopuses when they need anesthesia, analgesia or other veterinary care. Postdoc Dr. Gabrielle Winters-Bostwick is using calcium imaging to observe individual neurons in the octopus arm responding to vibration and food odors
