🌴May 22nd from 4-5:30 LIVE AT THE ANNUAL MEETING during the closing remarks session- any and all topics concerning SFS members and activities will be discussed. We will be using the Open Space Forum approach (www.facilitator.school/blog/open-sp...) to allow members to provide input on topics.

Mitchell first got involved with SFS as a Master’s student at the JASM Grand Rapids Conference. He has previously served as a member of the Undergrad affairs committee. His favorite part of his program is his lab mates, and his least favorite is doing winter fieldwork.

Our merchandise subcommittee chair is Mitchell Liddick, a PhD at the University of Notre Dame. He researches the fate and transport of contaminants in agriculturally impacted streams, focusing on how environmental factors influence antimicrobial resistance and nutrient uptake under climate change.

Our second co-chair for the virtual events committee is Hazel Quarterman, and NSF RaMP post-bac fellow at Georgia Southern University. She is investigating the effects of saltwater intrusion on leaf decomposition in freshwater wetlands on a barrier island.

Our co-chair for the virtual events subcommittee is Angelika Kurthen, a 6th year Ph.D. in Integrative Biology Department at Oregon State University. She works on developing mechanistic population models for aquatic invertebrates to describe how they respond to temperature & flow regime changes.
