(Just discovered that this was my 20th running of this one -- back in 2004 it was the first half I ever attempted. Missed one in 2017 when I locked myself out of my car, and 2020 was cancelled [COVID]...I knew it was a while ago, but TWENTY-TWO YEARS!? No wonder I feel so old rn, ouf)

It’s a chōshi 銚子 (also called sashinabe with the same characters) — see them a lot in illustrations of celebratory scenes
