@nytimes has killed its audio app. Now there’s no way to download stories for offline listening (a huge issue if you live rural like me, where service drops out), and you also can’t queue up pieces to hear later. Big step backward.

After moving back to Australia after 21 years in the US, the political climate here feels more optimistic, in part because there are younger representatives in politics.
