Babita was chilling in her box when she suddenly zoomed to the sliding glass door. Something was out there. Sure enough, she had pointed out one of our local trash pandas out back. No photos because it was night. She was a bit freaked.

One of the things I miss the most about working was marching in the SF Pride parade with my coworkers.

A lazy Caturday afternoon after wild adventures last night. The resident 15-year-old left the front door open all night. Bebita roamed who knows where for who knows how long. Husband found her without a collar and with a very poofed tail this morning.

There is an old SF tradition of dressing crazy & knocking around nerf balls with golf clubs the Sunday before Memorial Day. This year I got to hold Chi Sia’s leash!

There are only a few hard & fast rules in The Hope House: cleanup after yourself, no outside shoes inside, and Churu must be given promptly every morning.

Caterday like a boss.
A tortie-tabby is hidden under a grey object. Lurking in the shadow with only a small portion of her right paw in the sunlight. The deck planks are orange squares below her. This black boy cat is really a tuxedo, but one cannot see his white tie while he’s tucked into a counterclockwise “C” shape under the orange table in the bright sunlight.

It’s hard to be knittin’ when your lap’s full of kitten.
Ballena Bebita, a tortie-tabby female cat sits on my lap. She is sniffing the knitting in my right hand. Her orange collar is visible. I’m glad orange looks good on her. It shows she is an indoor-only cat. She has to stay indoors. She has no fear, and she is an escape artist. And the raccoons in SF are ENORMOUS! And they will kill a kitten. So no outside without the leash.

Not-Worsted Ripple Not-Cropped Top by Jessie Maed. It is a white cotton sweater knit in 3X3 rib with short sleeves and a deep V-neck. I frogged this damned sweater at least three times. I worked on it off-and-on for over 18 months. It went into Carbonite Deep Freeze at least twice. Now my cat is sleeping on it.
