I’ve done plenty of searches over the years and am still flummoxed, why else do you think i would be fighting for my life in these comments asking for help understanding this issue? why wouldn’t you provide the reading material instead of a smarmy comment?

obviously women’s wages have increased due to pay equity measures but the general population seems to be at about the same place

the graph you sent is just for women going back to 1979, when you look at the % change data for the general population from the same resource the line has basically come down to the same place. even in adjusted dollars on y axis the wage seems to have gone up ~10 dollars, while the COL has soared

I’m really curious & I’m not trying to ask this in a rude way— I’m clearly missing something & want to learn. Can you explain it to me like I’m five how the economy was the best in this country’s history? it’s not what i’m seeing amongst me and my peers and I don’t understand when people say this.

right but if you did, don’t you have accumulated wealth and the benefits of going to college at a much lower rate statistically, being at a higher earning job now, purchasing property at a more reasonable rate, not worrying about the lack of a living wage and lack of entry level jobs?

according to who? for my friends and i, our generation is inheriting a worse quality of life than our parents and the generations before them - exorbitant student loan debt, outrageous rent/housing costs, wages that have been stagnant since the 90s, extremely high health insurance rates, inflation

good! i love her!! i cant stand newsom anymore, especially after his last interview backtracking on trans rights. i’m sick of voting for “the better option” instead of someone who’s enacting policies i actually want to see
