Katharine Hepburn about her essential tremor:
Parkinson’s is a devastating disease. Mine is just an irritation.
@dicknixon.bsky.social Do you know anything about this book? I saw it at the library.

My favorite is the sticker on the mirror teaching us how to wash our hands. It was stuck to the mirrors in 2021. Still up, same place, same sinks because we still don’t know how to wash our hands.

This is the book I’m reading, published in 1961. One of the characters is an avant garde musician who works in musique concrete but every time it’s mentioned all I can think is “Number nine, number nine.”

By lots of jerseys I mean before everyone else is here, odd sizes, every price, and every player they normally have. They also have this. $35

One ballot. Ready to be dropped off at the ballot collection site that looks a lot like an old mailbox painted white and put in front of the county sheriff’s building.
And a special ballot-marking pen. (A normal pen).

@nickharkaway.com Your father, or the light in your father’s study, shows up in the new book about Pinochet, 38 Londres Street by Philippe Sands. Years after the events of 1998 the author interviews Nicholas Evans, the first magistrate to sign an arrest warrant. At the end of the interview

Doesn’t everyone have a checkerboard shirt they last wore in 1982 and kept by their parents in their third house since then?

Today I opened a drawer with 5 of these inside, one still in its paper wrapper. These probably belonged to my grandfather because we haven’t entered the master bedroom where my father’s Purina stuff is.

This could be your lockscreen

My parents have dozens of these and are trying to unload them on their children. In their house if it ever said Ralston Purina they have it. At one point they had a roll of checkerboard toilet paper.

This is not their listing and these are way overpriced.
