Ah, that's the Supervisor Fish, come to check their container compliance 😉

Saw the Giger Museum when I visited Gruyere in Switzerland with my brother. I'd never heard of him before then.

Ah, this was right when I started watching the stream. Very cool critter

Jelly jars does tempt me to make some jelly for dessert (jello as you call it) 😋
February 3, 2026 at 1:10 PM
Jelly jars! Hadn't seen reference to those before. How do they collect them? Does the ROV pilot manoeuvre a jelly into a jar? Can't slurp a jelly without it losing integrity I'm guessing

Keep an eye on the candlesticks, ropes, spanners, daggers, pipes ...

Spotted one on a palm at the Yacht Club in Port Vila & assumed it was a carving or replica as it wasn't moving. It suddenly moved & scared the bejesus out of me. My friends laughed at my reaction.

Love the name, Googly Eyed Glass Squid 😊 Is someone down there glueing googly eyes on critters?

Read that. I went through a period of reading some really interesting non-fiction.

Such cool, sparkly guys
January 27, 2026 at 6:43 AM
Cool. Often women with over-filled lips are described (here at least) as having duck lips or trout pout, but maybe it should be snipe lips?

There are some stunners, we're very lucky.

A bit like the newly released Australian Bureau of Meteorology website. Took something that worked, upgraded it and now you can't tell if you're going to get a severe storm or not

Looks like some sort of flower on a stalk.

I've dived the Ribbon Reefs, but just a smidge shallower than 1000m ...

Very glad to have AC! Have been seeing the impact of Storm Harry that clobbered Malta and Siciliy where I holidayed last year. Lots of damage but thankfully no lives lost.

I'll be hiding indoors tomorrow & Tues. Forecast for tomorrow is 40C (104F) & 43C (109.4F) on Tuesday. Total fire ban tomorrow & likely Tues. We've already had terrible fires a week ago but fortunately no lives lost.

Beat me to it 😉

Hope you encounter Drake Lake and not Drake Shake

Only ever heard about not picking up cone shells rather than worry about standing on them. Urchin spines a risk but not at too many beaches.
January 8, 2026 at 12:34 AM
Thank I appreciate it 😊. Footwear not needed unless you're somewhere that might have stonefish

Listening and watching the sea is good for what ails you. Not the day for it here, currently 107.6F 🥵. Cool your ankles on my behalf ...
