Our field investigator captured footage during yesterday's rainstorm showing SFPUC's sluice gates once again overflowing--releasing feces & other pollution directly into Mission Creek and SF Bay 😠

This is why we're taking legal action to get SFPUC to clean up its act: baykeeper.org/press_releas...

Some good news for the Bay!

After kayakers reported thousands of pieces of metal poking out of the mud along the Alameda shoreline, we investigated—leading to a cleanup of more than 12,000 lbs of toxic metal trash and a plan to rewild this former industrial site 🌱

Rainy season is stormwater sampling season 🌧️

Every winter, our team braves wet conditions to collect runoff samples from suspected polluters all over the Bay Area.

Do you know of a facility that's allowing contaminated runoff to flow into #SFBay? Send us a tip: baykeeper.org/report-pollution

The King Tides are coming! The highest tides of the year will be on 1/11, 1/12 and 2/9.

King Tides occur due to the gravitational pulls of the sun & moon, and they provide insight into the areas most vulnerable to sea level rise.

Today, the state released its environmental impact report for the ill-conceived multi-billion-dollar Delta tunnel project.

The tunnel would divert excessive amounts of water from the Bay and make matters worse for the fish & communities that depend on this ecosystem.
