Enjoyed a lovely afternoon at the UNESCO Lifelong Learning and Literature Celebration, as part of the Festival of Libraries.

It was a great opportunity to learn about the artist exchange between Manchester and Nanjing, and hear some of the poetry spoken.

Attended the LIHNN Christmas study day today, first time I’ve been able to attend in a couple of years so great to catch up with people I haven’t seen in person since pre-covid. Fantastic day which generated constructive conversations, and bringing back lots of ideas for the team 📚

Heading to the #LibrariesChangeLives parliamentary reception this afternoon, excited about having discussions around sharing initiatives around creating opportunists to break down barriers in the North West

Happy to say I was successful with my FHEA submission from Advance HE, next step Senior Fellowship! ✍️

Student support is always at the forefront of my work, and I’m always striving to deliver innovative ways to increase that support. This nomination is a real surprise, and it feels great to know I’m hopefully having a positive impact in delivering that support 😊

Mission for this weekend:

1. Complete Chartership submission
2. Complete HFEA case study and put together most of submission

So far on track, and also I’m reminded how much I enjoy writing about my learning experiences. I really should do this more!

Really positive conversations today on research bids, PRISMA, and systematic reviews - so excited!

My favourite thing so far this week was having my first line management meetings with my team. I brought chocolates and hand written notes explaining how I intend to support them and develop the team. They’ve been supportive of me from day dot, so time to do them proud 💪

Worked on lots of tailored content to support the faculty this week. Feeling energised for the new semester, and refreshed for spending the weekend on CPD ✍️
