My service dog saved my life and I am eternally grateful for her

Venus smile has been warming my heart for just about three years now, and I am grateful for every amazing moment that I get with her

I lost one of my best friends to suicide, and narrowly escaped the maw of the abyss myself

Venus gave me the safety and love I needed to be able to do the difficult internal work that was needed to recover from the traumas of life in the military

I left the service in April of 2019, and things weren’t looking so great. I was battling depression and PTSD. If it weren’t for my service dog I never would have made it out of the darkness.
