(Not in any way a Bluesky “pro,” just saw the emoji used a lot)

I believe there’s only a workaround with the 📌 emoji so far:
Ahh, this is a little funny if you’re not used to using feeds, because it’s essentially a workaround. Bluesky doesn’t have a normal bookmarking feature yet. But informally, if you reply to a post with that pin emoji, it’ll show up in this feed (which only shows the pins of whoever’s looking at it)

I'm mostly interested from the angle of them doing the odd redirect at the height of focus on Project 2025 and people pointing out the overlaps between Project 2025 and (the real) Agenda 47.

Per Wayback, looks like they were sure to leave the redirect in place through the Dem convention.
November 10, 2024 at 4:09 PM
No, they were actively redirecting the /agenda47 address to the /platform page at the time. And had the platform page say (still does) "Agenda 47" at the top, even though they're not the same thing.

I feel like leaving Bluey on as background noise would actively improve people's lives in multiple ways. Someone should fund research.

Pardon the nerd tangent, but that's odd…

At some point after the RNC platform came out, Donnie's site redirected that specific address (no end slash) to just land on the platform bullet points. You had to go out of your way to add an end slash (/agenda47/) to see the Agenda 47 stuff. Hmm. 🤔

Hey, if he messes up with the incoming bird flu as much as he did with COVID, it'll take care of itself. 🥚🥚🥚

Six months is the exact length of the Project 2025 playbook plan.

That stuff was politically toxic for a reason. 🤷

As an already-annoyed Ohioan, I'm tired of having to remind people who pretend to know what they're talking about that JD Vance has been a senator for a grand total of 1 year, 10 months, and 6 days.

Can we flip it and do a little dividing and conquering of the state, though? Because that's what I'm feeling right now.

After listening to way too much of their nonsense "policy talk," it's clear there's a bunch of things they disagree with each other on. Maybe we can help the inevitable along.

The president of the Heritage Foundation told more than one major newspaper he'd personally briefed Trump on Project 2025.

I saw no follow-up reporting on this. None.

"not what we want people focused on"

Yes, good.

Anyone else interested in getting some #MAGAwedge issues brainstorming going? This seems like the right time to use any impulses toward pettiness for the greater good.

Which IS noted in the article, in case the above reply came across as a critique of that.

It's only a critique of people who didn't investigate the clearly-stated policies of the person they voted for.

He already promised to drag unhoused people off to "tent cities" because he doesn't like seeing them around.

Libraries as a concept are great, but individual libraries / library systems can be and have been corrupted by the same kind of people and ideas that have corrupted other parts of our public life. But almost no one pays attention to them to notice until it's too late.
November 8, 2024 at 2:27 PM
A usually-ignored way to help your library is to just… pay attention to your library. Who's the director, who's on the board, what are they saying in their meetings, are they even making meeting minutes public, etc.
