Yesterday, emotions won. I let myself get swallowed up by the bed the whole day.
Woke up today with back pain worse than post-triathlon/marathon body aches. I knew it'll only get worse if I don't move. The walk and stretches did me wonders — physically, mentally, emotionally.

Yesterday, emotions won. I let myself get swallowed up by the bed the whole day.
Woke up today with back pain worse than post-triathlon/marathon body aches. I knew it'll only get worse if I don't move. The walk and stretches did me wonders — physically, mentally, emotionally.

Life update:
Finished the 5150 triathlon!
Most anxious about making the swim cutoff since I only banked 15 pool sessions & 2 ows, but I made it. Finished ahead of my bike time goal. Felt strong on the run. Ugly-cried at the finish.
19 weeks of training & grit got me through. Ironman 70.3 next?

Life update:
Finished the 5150 triathlon!
Most anxious about making the swim cutoff since I only banked 15 pool sessions & 2 ows, but I made it. Finished ahead of my bike time goal. Felt strong on the run. Ugly-cried at the finish.

I've been wondering why I feel so tired with my training compared to my first sprint tri training. Realized, I'm doing an olympic-distance this time & training schedule from before were NOTHING compared to this.

I expected for Iceland's weather to be unpredictable, but not THAT crazy.
Managed to sneak in a quick 5k once the sun was out but not even halfway through, it started raining, then sleet with strong winds.
But man, the view gorgeous!

I expected for Iceland's weather to be unpredictable, but not THAT crazy.
Managed to sneak in a quick 5k once the sun was out but not even halfway through, it started raining, then sleet with strong winds.

There are good run days, there are bad run days — today was the latter.
What was supposed to be a 1.5hr-run was cut in half 'coz my body wasn't feeling it.
Maybe 'coz it's that time of the month, or the heat. But at least I got a bit of run in?

Time for the monthly steroid shot for my knee scar. It'll be so sore the next few days but at least it isn't as bad as before.
It's been a year since this injury & only the shots I started in June helped with its chronic pain and sensitivity.
