I loooove the stained glass feel the top blue/yellow gives. It's so siiiick.

To me, the LBG feels the closest to what you might be looking for! It's less about combos and more about ammo type, reload timing, and just blasting within the correct range. Also, setting up your mines to cause big badabooms in monster faces.

I used the light bowgun to be ranged in MHW. It was very first-time player friendly without being too overwhelming. Not as flashy as other weapons - pretty basic - but I loved it. It has some punch while still being fairly mobile. Also LBG gave me time to think, reposition, or run away.
