Sadly the people who owe me an apology are no longer in my circle on social media. Would be nice though.

There are things all of you could be doing, stop playing by the rules, they don’t apply any longer, Musk is executing a coup and Congress is allowing it to happen.

Industrial agriculture decimated the soil and water table, leading to drought conditions so severe that we may see parts of California become desert in our lifetime. You should watch “Kiss the Earth” sometime, good documentary on how agriculture affects the environment.

There’s work being done in Sub-Saharan Africa that is reclaiming the desert. Routine controlled burns will help manage and regenerate soil. Once you have strong healthy soil again that holds water, then you’ll start seeing more growth of native plants and a recovery of the water table.

Actually I do, spent two years studying forestry. Reality is California has such a low water table “cleaning forests” won’t prevent wildfires. Only through regenerative practices designed to retain water in the soil, which then keeps trees and plants from becoming too dry, can you prevent this.

Another good action: thump one fist on the table in unison. No vocals. Just thump, thump, thump. If they join in, stop until they stop. They’ll get the message. This was used to communicate displeasure with officers in the ranks in the 1800’s and earlier. Not mutiny, but a warning.

I watched 24 recently and it was absolutely phenomenal. No notes. The first 20 minutes grabbed me, it illustrates the difference between those who are complicit and those who aren’t in a nutshell. Some people will always comply.

Tell us you know nothing about forestry or wildfires, or drought. Or environmental science.

We have a local-ish grocery that is very not conservative thankfully, we’ve been able to reduce what we get at other places by getting produce, milk and a few dry stock items there. We’re using more un-paper towels and just not buying what we don’t need.

Oh you absolutely should, but use a drone you are prepared to lose
