Depends on how indirect you want to go. It's not like the CEO did shoot someone or killed in any other direct manner. If someone dies after drunk driving, you could argue the Barkeeper is at fault. I am arguing your justification. 'outside of these parameters '.. your parameters are 'if can't go after person legally' that includes every person that didn't do any illegal stuff. So nearly everything is included in your 'parameters'. Just admit that its feelings based. There is no logic to it

Read what you are saying. 'if the legal system doesn't offer a way, I don't blame anyone for doing what they felt was necessary'. the legal system doesn't offer a way to go after people if they didn't do anything illegal. So if they don't do illegal stuff, people can do what they feel is necessary.

If that were the case, that are normal tariffs that the EU also considers and US has in place already for some products. But that would mean Trump goes back on his promise.

Also you said in 99.9% of cases the legal system should decide, implying that in the 0.1% it 'should not' decide and that random people should. You said you were proud of NYC because of the murder. But you can. What the CEO did was probably legal. Or did any court rule that well... It can't decide either way because there is no justice system for insurance ceo's? In western legal systems if it is not illegal, it is legal.

What country are we talking about? This happened in the US and last I checked the US does have a justice system. It literally is about not liking the existing justice system and than going to murder a person. That is what you are argueing. At least stand by it.
