no one in this comment chain said that. all anybody has pointed out is that european farmers have gotten to dictate which mode of farming should be prioritized for subsidies. that's a fox guarding the henhouse scenario.

those are solutions, yes. but that's beside the point.

kraut made an argument, you made a refutation of that argument, and I corrected your refutation. european farmers *are* welfare queens at this very moment.

for every 100 calories in(animal feed), beef is 2 calories out. a majority of our husbandry is cattle.

are you having trouble keeping up? I said china isn't a socialist country. there's nothing remotely socialist about it.
January 17, 2025 at 4:51 PM
I have a feeling that to you, every liberal democracy is literally nazism. :^)
January 17, 2025 at 3:46 PM
if only.
china is more fascist than anything else. but as long as they pay lip service to socialism it's all fine, right? have fun finding that out, strasser.
January 17, 2025 at 2:28 PM
china is no less socialist than north korea is democratic.
which is to say, that china is not socialist at all.

no they don't. they pay for their insurance out of pocket. ambulance rides are not covered by the basic insurance, and is also something they have to pay for out of pocket.

and like I said, the basic insurance does not cover everything. if you want full coverage, you have to pay more.
January 16, 2025 at 9:34 PM
1. they're covered by national health insurance, not a nationalized healthcare system. an insurance system that they have to pay for.
2. the rural and urban health insurance system is actually one and the same since 2016.
3. the basic insurance doesn't cover everything, like ambulance rides f.e.
January 16, 2025 at 9:14 PM
they don't. in china you have to pay for insurance, otherwise you're not covered. and what's more, the basic plan has bad to mediocre coverage. if you want better coverage, you have to pay more.

sorry to have to be the one to rain on your parade.
January 16, 2025 at 8:20 PM
I'm sorry, but no they don't. they have health insurance
January 16, 2025 at 7:35 PM
no they don't.
January 16, 2025 at 7:31 PM
the rest of the world has affordable healthcare, so this story has already been forgotten. the only reason it lives on in china is because they, alongside the US, do not.
