Yep! There's a wall in the stage that can be broken (pretty easily, too) and once you do, the stage can scroll infinitely for the rest of the match

I guess it depends *which* Broadway, but I've always considered the main Manhattan/Bronx one as an avenue since it runs North-South like every other avenue in the Manhattan grid.

Yeah, that's fair. I played a lot more of the Land games than the SNES trilogy growing up (mostly because playing on Game Boy meant not hogging the family TV) and the physics there are different too, so my perspective on the series is probably all messed up lol

From the bit I remember playing of it, I recall it being surprisingly kinetic! Doesn't scratch the same exact itch as Sonic, but definitely felt like momentum was the main focus

I liked Returns well enough, some kinda iffy level design in the last world or two aside. I'll probably like TF more since I hear it's more consistent, and I'm not terribly hard to please as far as DK goes. I even unironically love the DK Land trilogy on Game Boy, lol

It was from when a friend briefly lent me his copy! I hadn't played Returns at that point so I binged the Wii & 3DS versions and waited a bit to get Tropical Freeze so I wouldn't burn myself out. I just kinda... forgot to get around to it 😅
