As for Gaetz he never resigned from the 119th congress, only the 118th. Even with the report coming out, there needs to be a 2/3 vote to get rid of him. Only 4 repubs were against his confirmation so they don't have the votes to remove him.

Unlikely. Gaetz will likely serve in a position that doesn't require senate confirmation. Sadly, he's not going away and he will still be able to do massive damage.
