i don’t know if this was on purpose, but this is interesting because for gems, saying “my ___” is a sign of respect. for example, a pearl would say “my diamond”, but a diamond would never say “my pearl” (rebecca sugar confirmed in an interview when talking about the end scene in roses scabbard)
